I got my 2019 MDX brand new. Recently, some guy lost control of his car at the grocery store and ended up hitting a few cars, including mine. It's been at the shop for weeks. They told me there's structural damage, and they're talking to the manufacturer to figure out if it can be repaired or if they'll need to total it.

@Acurious sound's like you're so unlucky. okay, here's what you should do:
Talk to Insurance (the other guy's!): This is HUGE.
Find out their total loss threshold. What percentage of value makes them total it?
it's important to ask about "diminished value." Even if it's repaired, your MDX is now worth less just because it had structural damage. You're owed that difference.
Talk to the Shop:
Get specifics on the damage. What parts of the frame are hit?

You need to prepare for both. what I mean is that if repaired, you need to make sure you're happy with the plan. Consider an independent inspection after it's done. Then, pursue that diminished value claim.
If totaled, you need to research what comparable 2019 MDXs are selling for right now. Be ready to negotiate their payout offer.
It's a tough spot, but stay on top of your insurance and the shop. You deserve to come out of this as whole as possible!

That sucks big time, man, structural damage on newer might never feel quite the same even though its repairable. your insurance should fight for fair value if they do total it and if it ends up repaired, get every detail in writing and ask for a full alignment and safety check
