2012 MDX power window out

I've been working on my 2012 MDX Tech. The driver window controls aren't working but everything else seemed fine. I traced it to a busted sub-wire harness in the driver door, which looked like it had been hacked before. So what I did was swap in a new harness (same part number), but now the engine cuts off after a second and the dash throws a "Welcome" then shuts down. The battery is all good, the fuses mostly check out, but I've already chased a dead end thinking it was the fuel system. Has anyone seen this behavior post-harness swap? What to do?

Swapping a harness should be pretty straightforward, but it sounds like something's getting lost in the process.
My first thought is to double-check every single connector you touched.
It's super easy to miss a pin or have something not seat all the way, and with a harness that controls so much, that can cause all sorts of weird issues.
If you're confident everything is connected properly, try putting the old harness back in.
If the car starts, it points to a problem with the new part, even if the part number is the same.
It could be defective or a subtle difference you're not seeing.
The "Welcome" message followed by a shutdown sounds like it's tied to the immobilizer system.
I'm thinking the car might not be recognizing the new wiring, and it's cutting the engine for security.
You might need to have a dealer or a shop with the Acura HDS tool get everything synced up again!
