Wet trunk and passenger floorboard

I just found moisture in the trunk cargo area, and the whole carpet is soaked. Then I checked the car and noticed the passenger side floorboard is also wet under the mat. Has anyone else dealt with this? I saw a YouTube video of an Acura mechanic showing a new MDX with a flooded trunk

Yeah, sounds like you've got a drainage issue or a seal leak somewhere. Are the rubbers already worn out? Also, do check the sunroof drains and rear hatch seals first... because I've seen that cause surprise puddles in my Mazda. Acura should really be on top of this by now.

What do you think caused the leak was it heavy rain recently, a clogged sunroof drain, or maybe a bad seal around the tailgate or window?

Thanks, I'll check the sunroof drains and hatch seals first. The rubber looked okay at a glance, but I'll inspect more closely. Surprised Acura still hasn't nailed this down

There was a big storm few days before I noticed it, so I'm leaning toward clogged sunroof drains or a bad seal. I'll run some water tests this weekend to narrow it down
